In a nutshell: Examining topics such as medical photography, central to the practice of pediatric dermatology, and prescribing off-label medications for children; this article discusses rights of children in medical decision-making which are ambiguous, and parents and physicians will often override the autonomy of a child when a particular treatment is deemed to be in the child’s best interest.
